Wealthpol / Banklash Conference

The Conference "Information, Redistribution and Financial Regulation" was held at Nuffield College on the 30th September - 1 October 2022, as a joint conference of the Wealthpol and Banklash ERC-funded projects.
The conference brought into conversation political economy and political behaviour, drawing on research from Wealthpol and Banklash whose research explores the media environment after the financial crisis and how different media treatments about banking affect preferences, issue salience, and stated desire to participate in politics. The conference brought together experts in the field to discuss several of the papers these projects have generated, energizing a more general discussion about the role of informational and media effects in political economy.
