Post-Doc Position

The Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a research team to work on the WEALTHPIOL project directed by Professor Ben Ansell, the Project Investigator (PI), and supported by the European Research Council (ERC).

WEALTHPOL examines political causes and consequences of wealth inequality across the industrialised world. The project divides into three core work packages, which are to be accomplished over the life of the grant. The first two work packages are macro data collection exercises assembling cross-nationally and historically comparable surveys of wealth mobility outcomes and policies. The last work package focuses on the micro-foundations of attitudes towards wealth mobility using both laboratory and survey experiments.

The successful candidate will provide research support across all three projects though their own skillset and interests may fit more closely into particular areas. S/he will be expected to contribute to the running of the project as well as to co-author work with the Principal Investigator, and pursue their own related research agenda.

The closing date is noon on 15 February. For more information, and to apply, click here.
